About Us

Ed Christenbury, President and Owner, founded ChrisCo Machinery, Inc. in 1983 as an industrial woodworking machinery dealer. ChrisCo Machinery, Inc. buys, sells, rebuilds and manufactures new and used woodworking machinery.

Ed received his degree in 1968 from North Carolina State University at Raleigh in Furniture Manufacturing and Management. His first position as Plant and Production Engineer was at Liberty Chair Manufacturing, which later became a division of Mohasco, in Liberty, North Carolina. Later he became Manager of Manufacturing for a total of 10 years with the company. With the experience that Ed gained from working in an industrial woodworking manufacturing setting, he decided to move his career into woodworking machinery sales for the next 5 years before starting ChrisCo Machinery, Inc. on April 1, 1983.

Today, ChrisCo Machinery, Inc. is located in Liberty, North Carolina. In our 68,000 square foot facility,we also have an additional 50,000 square foot facility in Lexington, North Carolina.

ChrisCo Machinery, Inc. employs 8 people: 4 technicians, 2 salesmen, and 2 support staff members.

ChrisCo Machinery, Inc. has one of the largest inventories in the country with over 700 machines in stock. We pride ourselves in our work and our customer relations. Most of all, ChrisCo Machinery, Inc. is proud to have experienced technicians and mechanics that bring over 133 years of combined experience to each and every customer transaction.
